Growing plants from seeds is not only easy to do but is also one of the cheapest ways to fill your garden. Flowers are just as easy to plant. As a bonus, it's more work but you'll have a greater choice of variety and color if you're willing to start your own varietals from seeds.

Only the roots need water, not the petals! Use a soaker hose to place the water exactly where it's needed just on the soil. In doing so, you reduce evaporation, conserve water and decrease the potential of disease. Water about a half inch twice a week to ten days.

DIY Wedding Bouquet

Traditionally, most flowers in a bridal bouquet stick to the colors of white, with some splashes of pink or other pastel colors. Choose 2–4 flowers to be the "base" of your bouquet; Bunch the stems together and wrap with floral tape. Leave 4–5 inches of exposed stem at the bottom.

The best way to grow tulips is from bulbs. Tulips grow best as perennials in climates with moist, cool-to-cold winters and warm, dry summers. Plant the bulbs 4 to 8 inches deep in the fall (a depth about three times the size of the bulbs), in a sunny location with well-drained soil.
